How long does it take to prepare my meals?
Each session takes about 2 hours. See our Event Calendar for available sessions.
- How many people will each dish serve?
We offer full- and half-size dishes. Each full-size dish serves 6 persons (some serve more). Each half-size dish serves 3 persons (or more).
- Can I make more than one of each dish?
Yes. If your family really likes Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas, make 2, 3, or more. If you are having guests for dinner, make 2 or 3 of the dish that you would like to serve them.
- I have a picky eater in my family; can you help me accommodate this?
Picky eaters are our specialty! Since you make these meals yourself, you can tailor them to your family's tastes. Your 5 year old will not eat mushrooms? No problem, just leave them out. Your husband cannot get enough potatoes? Add more. We encourage you to do the same with seasonings and spices - spice food to your family's tastes.
- Will these meals fit in my freezer?
Yes. Since the meals will go home in a couple of different kinds of packages (baking pans and freezer bags) you can fit these items easily into your kitchen freezer. (All packaging is provided by The Dinner Station.) Suggestion: Now is the time to throw out those items that you have had in your freezer for over 6 months, a year, etc. Make room for our delicious dishes you will be glad you did.
- What do I do with the meals once I get them home?
When you get home, put the meals that you plan to cook that week in your refrigerator so that they are ready for your use. Place all remaining meals in the freezer. Each weekend, move a weeks worth of meals from the freezer to the refrigerator so that they may thaw and be ready for your use throughout the week. (Some items take longer to thaw than others. This is not a problem; you just may have to increase cooking times as needed.)
- What do I need to bring with me to the session?
Show up empty-handed! We have literally done everything for you. We will provide all necessary packaging (including large shopping bags for carrying your dishes home). If you are traveling far or planning a quick stop on the way home, we suggest that you bring a cooler with ice to keep your dishes cold until you can get them into the refrigerator/freezer.
- Do you provide food or drink during the sessions?
We provide cold beverages during each session. Please feel free to bring in your own refreshments as well.
- How do I book a private party?
Call to book a private party, visit the Locations page to find the store closest to you. See our Hostess Discounts on our Other Destinations page for great money saving opportunities.
- Can I bring my kids?
The Dinner Station offers an opportunity for you to get some often needed adult time. For the enjoyment of our other guests, we respectfully ask that you leave little ones at home and come enjoy yourself with old friends or make new ones. For older children, we encourage you to schedule a private parent/child session with friends.
- I am running short on time, can The Dinner Station make a meal package for me?
You bet. For an additional fee, The Dinner Station will assemble any of our meal packages for you. Just give us a call (visit the Locations page to find the store closest to you).
- What if I cannot make my scheduled session?
We certainly understand that things come up and you may not be able to make your scheduled session. With at least 3 days notice, just give us a call and we can reschedule your session. We can also make arrangements to have the meals ready for you to pick-up.
- How do I pay?
You pay when you register. Payments online must be made with a credit card. Most locations also accept cash or check. Visit the Locations page to contact the store closest to you to verify payment options.
- How do I register?
You can register online (go to Sign Me Up!), by phone (visit the Locations page to find the store closest to you), or in person.
- Can I signup with a friend and share my meals?
Unfortunately, due to space restrictions splitting packages between 2 or more persons is no longer permitted.
